FedEx x Plaid Pony Productions: Bringing RealLife to the Lens

When FedEx set out to capture the real-worldenergy of their services, they turned to Plaid Pony Productions tomake it happen. Working directly with FedEx, weproduced a motion and photography shoot that felt authentic, not staged, shotin real mail centers and, most notably, inside an actual Office Depot.

To make the vision come alive, we shut downpart of an Office Depot and transformed it into a bustling production set.With photographer Mark Katzman behind the camera, we blended natural lighting, paid actors, andthe store’s real textures to create scenes that felt genuinely lived-in.

We partnered closely with both Office Depot andFedEx teams to ensure every detail reflected real operations, choosingauthentic locations over studio builds to capture an honest, grounded look.

The result? A vibrant, true-to-life campaignthat showcases FedEx in action and a perfect example of Plaid PonyProductions’ commitment to turning real places into unforgettable stories.

The Pony Story

Plaid Pony Productions landed in actual Austin Office Depot and FedEx stores for this photo campaign. In order to shoot in these locations, we had to run overnight shoots. While late night starts and early morning ends can be a challenge logistically and energetically, the Ponies delivered high-quality images true to the brands and products.
